The Scent: This soap has just the right amount of French Lavender essential oil. This handmade soap is an aromatherapy experience just waiting to happen! The scent of lavender is said to calm frazzled nerves, aid relaxation and soothe the mind. The fragrance is subtle after rinsing, so you won't have to worry about overpowering anyone's senses.

We've also added a touch of Bentonite clay to purify your skin and leave it silky and smooth. Besides the clay's ability to remove toxins and leave your skin feeling revived and smooth, it also gives the soap itself a wonderful silky glide without compromising lather.

The Soap: Our cold-process soaps are made of coconut and olive oil and handcrafted in small batches. The oils create a lot of lather, are gentle on the skin, and will leave you feeling clean all over. No parabens, phthalates, SLS, petroleum or silicone.

Approximate weight: 5 oz. To help your soap last as long as possible, please let it air dry between uses. (Think of it as a fine wine. It needs to breathe.)

I ordered the French lavender shampoo bar and just the regular French lavender bar soap. The bar soap is fine. I like it. The shampoo I received isn't French lavender. It has no fragrance. I'm a little disappointed, and since it's just shampoo, you still need some kind of conditioner or your hair feels sticky. I wish there was a conditioner bar. I would still like a fragrance in the shampoo bar, so if that's not going to be the case, I probably won't order this again.

It has a touch of nostalgia, but aside from that, it's a mix of lemon, bergamot, cool mint, lavender, green accord, sandalwood, cedarwood, amber and musk. It isn't overpowering like some soaps for men can be. Perfect for head-to-toe cleansing, including beards and hair. As with almost all of our soap, this one also contains Bentonite clay. It is such a powerful toxin-grabbing beast of a clay that we LOVE to use it! It lends a silky feel to the soap and your skin, without over-drying. The Scent and Special Properties: A super manly fragrance that is a classic! Bay Rum has withstood the test of time for a reason. It has all the masculine heavy hitters: spicy favorites like clove, cinnamon sticks and mint, coupled with middle notes of cedarwood, patchouli, pine and musk. Then we add the lightest hints of orange, apple and vanilla. It's very classy, very masculine, very fresh and a little old-fashioned (but not in a grandpa kind of way). The Special Properties: At Indigo Sundries we LOVE Bentonite clay. We love it so much it's in most of our soaps. So we thought we would make an unscented bar loaded with the sheer awesomeness this clay provides. Here is why we love this clay... it's electric. When Bentonite contacts water it creates an electromagnetic charge. It reaches out and grabs toxins, trapping them in the center of the clay molecule. How cool is that?
